Based on Hyundai’s Sensus sportiness design philosophy, the new Tucson gets a host of design updates that make it different from the outgoing model. But most importantly, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson gets the Advanced Driver Assistance System or ADAS, which enhances the safety and driving capabilities of this car. All the Level 2 ADAS features can be turned on/off from the large screen at the centre of the cabin.

Hyundai Tucson has been present in the Indian market for a long time. Its first model to market here was launched in 2005. This was followed by the second generation Tushaw in 2009 and then updated in 2016 with the third generation model. But perhaps due to its placement in the premium SUV segment, it is nowhere near as successful as the newly launched Creta and Venue. But Hyundai is now looking at increasing the sales numbers for this car, despite the fact that it is finding it difficult to gain momentum in the premium SUV segment.

Check out the features:

The 2022 Tucson is the fourth iteration of the carmaker’s premium midsize SUV. Until now, the Tucson has been a sales dud in its respective segment. However, Hyundai aims to reap some fortunes with this new-gen SUV, which boasts some nice and sharp clothes, techie features, and powerful powertrain options. Hill climb and descent control, 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, automatic headlamps, tire pressure monitoring system, and ADAS level-2, cruise control with stop and go function, lane-keeping assist, high beam assist, vehicle Department Alerts and much more.

The latest 2022 Hyundai Tucson in particular gets its front look defined by the large grille which is now integrated with the LED head light units. The rear gets updated LED taillights that are connected to an LED light strip in the middle.

Powertrain options have been carried forward from before, which ain’t a bad thing. So you get a 2-litre diesel and petrol engines, with a wee bit more power, teamed with automatic transmissions. Plus, the diesel engine can be had with optional all-wheel drive.

Tucson engine and power:
The updated Hyundai Tucson will be made available in two engine options. Nu 2.0 petrol unit with 6-speed automatic transmission and new R 2.0 VGT diesel engine with 8-speed automatic transmission will be available.
