Ram Singh Salathia, in charge of the Jammu and Kashmir MRT Team, is preparing his team for the journey. He says they’re getting ready to handle any challenges they might face during the pilgrimage.
Security is very important during the Yatra. Soldiers will be stationed at important spots along the routes to keep everyone safe. Salathia is confident that his team will be able to help pilgrims if they need it, just like they did in the past.
During training, soldiers are learning how to deal with emergencies like landslides, floods, and accidents. They’re also learning first aid so they can help anyone who gets hurt along the way.
Over 1,300 soldiers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police have already finished their training. They’re all set to help during the Amarnath Yatra. This pilgrimage happens once a year during the ‘Shravani Mela’ in July-August, which is the only time the Amarnath Cave is open. It’s a special journey for many devotees.
