New Delhi: Amidst the political crisis in Maharashtra, Shiv Sainiks are continuously protesting against the rebel MLAs. Due to which the rebels had demanded the safety of themselves and the family from the Maharashtra government. Now a big decision has been taken by the Central Government regarding this matter. It has been told that the central government will provide security at the homes of 16 MLAs of Shinde faction.
Centre provided ‘Y+’ category armed Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) security cover to 15 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs even as political crisis in Maharashtra deepened. The Centre is yet to issue an official statement on this regard.
The central government has taken this decision after the appeal of the Shinde faction. On Saturday, June 25, the Eknath Shinde faction wrote a letter to the Union Home Secretary and the Governor, after which security is now being provided to their families. By this evening, CRPF personnel will be deployed at the homes of all the MLAs. These MLAs have been given Y+ category security.
Security was also sought from Maharashtra government
Before the central government, the Eknath Shinde faction had also sought security for his family from the Maharashtra government. However, in response to this, it was said by the state government that no cut has been made in the security of the MLAs. Along with this, instructions were also issued to deploy police force in the MLAs whose houses were ransacked.
Recently, Shiv Sena workers ransacked the office of a rebel MLA. Shiv Sainiks created a ruckus at the residence and office of rebel Tanaji Sawant in Pune.
According to sources, there was a meeting between Shiv Sena’s rebel MLAs leader Eknath Shinde and senior BJP leader and former CM Devendra Fadnavis in Vadodara late on Friday night. It is believed that discussions have taken place on forming the government in Maharashtra. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the rebel MLAs may come to Mumbai from Assam soon.
Meanwhile, Independent MP Navneet Rana had also demanded security for the families of the rebel MLAs. He said that in the current circumstances, President’s rule should be imposed in Maharashtra. However, now in view of the situation, security is being provided to the rebel MLAs by the central government.
Let us inform that Eknath Shinde and all Shiv Sena MLAs are standing in Guwahati, Assam for the last one week. Everyone has started a rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray. Every effort was made to persuade these rebels, but it did not work. After which Uddhav Thackeray himself left the CM residence. Now Shiv Sena is being told to take action against the rebels, while on the other hand the Shinde faction is also preparing to go to court.
