He paid homage to Lord Ganesha on Monday by visiting the Varsha official residence of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

During his speech, Home Minister urged the party workers to expose former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the upcoming BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Amit Shah claimed that Uddhav Thackeray had ditched the BJP and the Hindutva ideology, implying that his alliance with the NCP and Congress amounted to backstabbing.

The reason for Uddhav Thackeray’s party’s being small is Uddhav Thackeray himself and his greed for power, not the BJP. Those who cheat in politics must be punished, “he said.

BJP Mumbai president Ashish Shelar stated that in the last BMC polls, the BJP had lost 15 to 20 seats by a slender margin of 100 to 150 votes. He said that if the BJP works hard, hopefully, the saffron party can win more seats this time.
