Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the 54th Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Foundation Day Parade in Hyderabad on Sunday (March 12). The Home Minister inaugurated the baffle range ‘Arjun’ at the National Industrial Safety Academy (NISA) on the occasion. Here he addressed CISF jawans and officers. He said that the Modi government’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism will continue in the coming times as well.

Amit Shah said that separatism, terrorism and anti-national activities in any part of the country will be dealt with strictly. He further said, “PM Modi has presented a vision of a $5 trillion economy, for which security of ports, airports etc. is very important. CISF will protect them as they have been doing for the last 53 years.”

‘…Naxalites and terrorists are under control’

The Union Home Minister in his address said that “The Ministry of Home Affairs will strengthen CISF with all the technologies in the times to come for the security of ports, airports etc. Many CISF personnel have lost their lives in the line of duty. Naxalites because of CISF And the terrorists are under control.”

When was CISF established?

Explain that CISF was established on March 10, 1969 under the Act of the Parliament of India. Since then, CISF Raising Day is celebrated every year on 10 March. This year the annual raising day ceremony of CISF was held in Hyderabad. Earlier, on Saturday, Amit Shah had said that CISF is one of the pillars of India’s internal security.

Last year the ceremony was held in Ghaziabad

According to officials, this is the first time that the CISF is organizing the ‘Raising Day’ function outside the national capital New Delhi. Earlier every year it was held in Ghaziabad at the CISF grounds located on the outskirts of Delhi. Last year, Amit Shah attended the 53rd Raising Day celebrations of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Indirapuram in Ghaziabad.
