Amit Shah rejects any talks with Pakistan, claiming J&K to be free from terrorism

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has rejected talks with Pakistan and promised to eradicate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that about 42,000 people have died in J&K since 1990 due to the penetration of terrorism.

Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has rejected talks with Pakistan and promised to eradicate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a huge rally in Baramullah, Amit Shah said that about 42,000 people have died in J&K since 1990 due to the penetration of terrorism.

Those who held power for 70 years advise talking to Pakistan. Why should we communicate with Pakistan? We won’t talk. Amit Shah stated, “We will speak with the residents of Baramulla and Kashmir.

Shah is adamant about making Jammu and Kashmir the country’s most peaceful region.

The Union Minister further attacked the Nehru-Gandhi (Congress), Mufti (PDP), and Abdullah (National Conference) dynasties for allegedly failing to develop the region. These families controlled Jammu and Kashmir for the majority of the period following the country’s independence in 1947.

“Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti constructed four medical colleges. Since 2014, we have set up nine. Since 2014, we have built one lakh houses. All villages (including villages in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) have been electrified, Amit Shah said.

A day earlier, Amit Shah announced in Rajouri that the Pahari community would be put in the category of “scheduled tribe,” so that they can get reservations in education and jobs. Earlier, it was not possible due to Article 370.

Speaking on the election in Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said the work of compiling the voters’ list has been in progress, and after that, elections will take place with transparency.
