Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to watch Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie based on history, ‘Prithviraj’, on June 1, director Chandraprakash Dwivedi said on Tuesday. The film depicts the life of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Kumar.
According to Dwivedi, the home minister will watch the movie two days ahead of its theatrical release on June 3.
The filmmaker said in a statement that it is “our honour that the Honourable Home Minister of our country, Shri Amit Shah ji, is going to witness the epic saga of the glorious life of one of Bharatmata’s bravest sons, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, who sacrificed his life for the country.”
The statement, however, did not reveal the venue of the screening of the film.
‘Prithviraj‘ also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood and marks the screen debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, who plays the role of Sanyogita.
‘Prithviraj‘ is to be released in several languages, such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Prithviraj is a mega-budget movie, so it has been described as a remarkable film. Akshay Kumar’s fans are eagerly waiting to watch this film at the earliest. But they have to wait till the release on June 3, 2022.
