New Delhi: On Sunday, A official said, A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Binner area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. The killed terrorist has been identified as Irshad Ahmed Bhat of Pattan, Baramulla.

The Kashmir Zone Police also tweeted, “Killed #terrorist has been identified as Irshad Ahmd Bhat of Pattan #Baramulla, active since 5/2022 & linked with proscribed #terror outfit LeT. 01 AK rifle, 2 magazines & 30 rounds recovered.”

A police official said that the security forces launched a cordon and search operation on the basis of information about the presence of terrorists in Biner area of the district on Saturday evening. He further said that the search operation turned into an encounter after the militant opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated.
Let us tell you, on July 6 this month, during an encounter in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, two local terrorists who had recently joined Lashkar-e-Taiba surrendered to the security forces. Police said that the encounter started on Tuesday night in Hadigam area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir.
