Visakhapatnam: A three-storey building collapsed last night in Ramajogi, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Three people including two children have died in this incident. At the same time, many people have been badly injured, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Visakhapatnam CP CH Srikkanth said that the foundation had been dug in the land adjacent to the damaged building and borewell work was underway on Wednesday. Due to this the foundation of the building became weak and this accident happened. At present, the police have registered a case report and further investigation is underway. Locals say that the building was two decades old.
CH Srikanth told that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the entire team reached the spot and started rescuing people. During this, the rescue team saved 6 people, out of which three including two children died on the spot. At the same time, other injured have been admitted to KG Hospital in Vizag city for treatment.
Last night, a vacant and many years old four-storey building in Delhi’s Rohini suddenly collapsed. However, due to the evacuation and night, no casualty is known. Police and rescue team were informed after the building collapsed. It is being told that this incident took place at around quarter to two in the night.
