Andhra Pradesh/Nellor: A stampede broke out during the roadshow of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu. 8 people died in this incident. A public meeting was organized at Kandukuru in Nellore district on Tuesday. The incident took place on Wednesday evening as Naidu’s motorcade was passing through the area as a crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the leader. Local officials have said about the incident that many people fell into the open drainage canal, out of which eight people died.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Chandrababu Naidu stopped the program immediately after the incident and announced Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. He has also asked the party leaders to ensure better treatment of the injured.
Significantly, the chief of Telugu Desam Party is holding several meetings across the state, assembly elections are to be held in the state in 2024. In the last assembly elections, TDP had to face defeat at the hands of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress.
In January, Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, is set to embark on a 4,000-km padyatra. Through this, the party hopes that it will be successful in connecting the youth with them. With the slogan “Jagan Hatao, Andhra Pradesh Bachao” Chandrababu Naidu has announced that this assembly election will be the last election of his life.
