Andhra Pradesh: Man carries wife’s body on shoulder, walk several kilometers after her death in Odisha

A case of shame to humanity has come to light from Odisha. A 35-year-old man from Odisha's Koraput district walked several kilometres with his wife's body on his shoulder after she died in an auto-rickshaw while returning from a hospital in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

Nabarangpur: A case of shame to humanity has come to light from Odisha. Here, a case has come to light of a 35-year-old man from Koraput district walking for several kilometers by hanging his wife’s dead body on his shoulder. The woman had died in an auto rickshaw on Wednesday while returning from a hospital in neighboring Andhra Pradesh. After which this person named Samulu Pangi was forced to carry his wife Ide Gure on his shoulder.

Pangi was carrying his wife’s dead body when the policemen saw Samulu Pangi leaving. After which the policemen arranged an ambulance to take the dead body to his village. Pangi had admitted his ailing wife to a hospital in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. While returning from where his wife died on the way.

The condition of Pangi’s wife was very bad. This is the reason why the doctors had advised to take him back home. Which was about 100 kilometers away from the hospital. Pangi told that he called an auto rickshaw to return to his village but his wife died midway. After this the auto driver refused to go ahead and dropped them on the way.

When there was no other arrangement after being dropped by the auto driver, Pangi started walking home carrying his wife’s dead body on his shoulder. From there his house was about 80 kilometers away. Pangi had walked several kilometres, when the policemen caught sight of him. Then the policemen called the ambulance and sent him to the house.
