Nellore: In a shocking incident, Andhra Pradesh Industries and IT Minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy dies due to massive heart attack on Monday morning. He was 50-years-old. He was admitted to Apollo hospital in Hyderabad, where he passed away.
He was the son of industrialist and politician former Nellore MP M Rajamohan Reddy. Goutham Reddy was born on 31 December 1976. He completed his Master’s degree from the University of Manchester.
He became an MLA for the first time in 2014. The 50-year-old YSRCP leader represented Atmakur constituency in Nellore district. He served as the Minister for Industries, Commerce and Information Technology.
According to his followers, he returned from Dubai after attending Dubai Expo 2022 on Sunday. He was rushed to the Apollo hospital after he suffered a heart stroke and doctors in the hospital tried their best to save him but in vain.
Doctors pronounced him dead after a while. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son apart from parents and two brothers.
Son of former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, 50 years old Gautham Reddy is a very healthy person and never misses gym whether he is in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, or in Nellore.
He was such a healthy person that people who knew him are unable to believe or digest the news about his demise.
Telangana minister KT Rama Rao expressed his condolences on the passing away of his colleague.

Gautham Reddy was elected from Atmakur assembly constituency for the second time in 2019.
A pleasing personality with affable manners, Gautham Reddy is non-controversial and never criticises either his distractors or opposition parties. “It is an irrepressible loss,” said Nellore rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.
