Andhra Pradesh : A devastating incident unfolded on Monday morning in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district, where a speeding bus collided with a truck parked at a roadside repair shop. The collision resulted in the tragic loss of four lives, casting a shadow of grief over the Padalemma temple area in Prattipadu mandal.
The accident occurred on the national highway near the Padalemma temple, turning a routine repair session into a fatal encounter. The truck involved was on its way to Rajamahendravaram from Annavaram when it experienced a punctured tyre, forcing it to stop for immediate repairs.
As the truck came to a halt for repairs, a speeding RTC (Road Transport Corporation) bus crashed into the vehicle, fatally colliding with three individuals who were tending to the truck. Additionally, another person, approaching from the opposite direction on the bus’s route, also suffered injuries in the tragic incident. Regrettably, all four victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
Prathipadu sub-inspector Pawan Kumar swiftly arrived at the scene to gather initial information. He reported that a case has been registered in connection with the incident, and an ongoing investigation is aimed at understanding the circumstances that led to this heart-wrenching collision.
