Mumbai : In the aftermath of the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, another suspect has been detained in Haryana. This latest development comes as authorities ramp up efforts to apprehend those responsible for the attack, with the detained individual allegedly linked to the previously arrested suspects.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, saw two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fire four rounds outside Salman Khan’s house in the Bandra area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incident has prompted heightened security measures around the actor’s residence.
Anmol Bishnoi, brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. Security footage captured the perpetrators speeding towards Salman Khan’s residence before fleeing the scene.
Law enforcement agencies, including the crime branch, local police, and forensic teams, swiftly initiated investigations. The recovery of bullet casings and thorough examination of the crime scene are underway to gather crucial evidence.
The Mumbai Police, cognizant of past threats from criminal elements, have mobilized over 15 teams to track down the perpetrators. The incident is believed to be linked to longstanding animosity stemming from a 1998 blackbuck hunting incident involving Salman Khan.
In response to the persistent threats, Salman Khan has been provided with weapons and an arms license for personal protection. The Mumbai Police remain vigilant, having previously intercepted death threats directed at the actor from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.
Security measures have been reinforced following previous attempts to target Salman Khan, highlighting the ongoing challenges posed by criminal elements. The investigation into the recent attack continues as authorities work to ensure the safety of the actor and the public.
