Mumbai: The entertainment industry mourns the loss of seasoned actor Rituraj K Singh, best known for his recent portrayal of Yashpal in the hit TV series Anupamaa. The 59-year-old actor succumbed to a pancreatic illness on February 19 . Amit Behl, a close friend of the late actor, confirmed the news, revealing that Singh passed away at 12:30 am.
Rituraj K Singh had been battling a pancreatic disease, leading to his recent hospitalization. Although he returned home after a 15-day stint in the hospital, his health took a sharp decline on February 19. Feeling weak, he was rushed back to the hospital, where he suffered a cardiac attack before reaching the medical facility.
In the television series Anupamaa, Rituraj K Singh played the role of Yashpal, the owner of the Spice and Chutney restaurant, introduced after the show took a five-year generational leap. His contribution to the series added depth to the storyline and resonated with the audience.
