New Delhi: AAP leader and Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who the Enforcement Directorate has arrested in a money laundering case, has been admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in Delhi after he complained of uneasiness. Satyendar Jain’s health who is currently in judicial custody in a money laundering case being probed by the ED is now stable.
According to the information, Jain was brought from Tihar Jail to GB Pant Hospital first, and then shifted to the LNJP Hospital and now his condition is stable. This is the second time that Jain has had to be admitted to a hospital after his health deteriorated. Earlier this month, Jain was admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Jain has in the past said that he requires regular medical care because of his sleep apnea condition.
Earlier, Jain’s bail petition in a money laundering case was rejected by a city court. Special judge Geetanjali Goel rejected the bail, saying that in absence of medical documents showing Satyendar Jain’s medical condition, the accused cannot be granted bail only on the ground that he suffers from sleep apnea.
On May 30, Arrested by the Enforcement Directorate under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Jain is currently in judicial custody and is being probed on charges of alleged hawala dealings.
