Apple 2023 Event: Apple’s highly anticipated “Wonderlust” event for 2023 has concluded. The centerpiece of this showcase was the grand unveiling of the iPhone 15, featuring the long-awaited USB-C port. Alongside it, Apple introduced the new Watch Series 9 and the second edition of the Watch Ultra, solidifying its position as a leader in the wearables market.

Taking place at the Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California, the annual fall product launch event featured the following key highlights:

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus Unveiled: Apple introduced the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, successors to the previous year’s models. These latest iPhones come equipped with high-resolution OLED displays, incorporating Apple’s once-exclusive Dynamic Island system previously reserved for the Pro models. They also feature an enhanced 48-megapixel primary camera and the formidable A16 Bionic chip, first seen in the iPhone 14 Pro.

USB Type-C Charging: For the very first time in iPhone history, Apple has introduced USB Type-C charging for the iPhone 15, potentially reshaping the smartphone industry. Pre-orders for these devices commence on September 15, with general availability set for September 22. In India, prices start at Rs 79,900 for the iPhone 15 and Rs 89,900 for the iPhone 15 Plus.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max Launch: The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have been unveiled as part of the Pro family in the iPhone 15 series. They succeed the previous year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. These new iPhones are not only more robust and lighter, thanks to the replacement of stainless steel with titanium frames, but they also feature the all-new A17 Pro chip. This chip boasts a GPU with ray tracing, delivering a 20 percent increase in speed. The Pro Max model elevates photography capabilities with an advanced periscope-style lens setup supporting up to 5x zoom. Additionally, these devices incorporate a second-generation Ultrawide chip, enhancing the Find My feature. USB-C charging is now standard across all iPhone 15 models, offering convenient and speedy charging with USB 3 speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at a price of Rs 1,34,900 (128GB) in India, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max begins at Rs 1,59,900 (256GB). Pre-orders open on September 15, with availability on September 22.
