PM mentioned the death of Shane Warne
PM Modi said, I am glad to know that you have celebrated the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence with great pomp. When the Sydney Opera House was illuminated with the light of the tricolor, the heart of every Indian became emotional. It’s been 75 years of our cricketing relationship. For the first time, women cricketers from Australia came to India to play IPL. It is not so, we are just companions of happiness. A good friend is not only a companion of happiness, but also a companion of sorrow. When Shane Warne passed away last year, Indians also mourned. It was as if we had lost someone of our own.
