Arms Act case: Supreme Court grants interim relief to Abbas Ansari MLA son of UP Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given relief to Abbas Ansari, the MLA son of UP's Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari. The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of UP's Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari's MLA son Abbas Ansari in connection with the Arms Act till further orders.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given relief to Abbas Ansari, the MLA son of UP’s Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari. The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of UP’s Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari’s MLA son Abbas Ansari in connection with the Arms Act till further orders.

Supreme Court has given interim relief of 4 weeks to MLA Abbas Ansari. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Abbas, said that Abbas Ansari is a member of the Rashtriya Rifle Association. They have licences, but still a criminal case has been registered in UP. The trial court issued summons and non-bailable warrant. The property was seized.

Abbas Ansari, the MLA son of Purvanchal mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, also got a big relief from the Allahabad High Court on October 14. The HC has given him relief in the case of making controversial statements during the assembly elections, the court stayed the police chargesheet and taking cognizance of the magistrate till 22 November.

The hearing was held in a single bench of Justice Samit Gopal. After the stay of the High Court, the trial of the case will not be started. The next hearing of the case will be on November 22. It is worth noting that during the assembly elections, Abbas Ansari had given a statement that the officers would be stopped here first and they would be dealt with, after that they would be allowed to be transferred.
