In a recent development, police officials have reported the confiscation of heroin valued at over Rs 5 lakh. Furthermore, two individuals have been apprehended in West Siang district, located in Arunachal Pradesh.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted an interception at a checkpoint near Darka Bridge within the Aalo police station area on Monday night. During the operation, law enforcement seized 10.54 grams of heroin from the vehicle and detained its two occupants, as confirmed by West Siang Superintendent of Police, Abhimanyu Poswal.
The two accused were found transporting the illicit substance from Likabali in Lower Siang district to Aalo in West Siang district. Consequently, the police registered a case under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, against the duo.
Following their arrest, the suspects were presented before the court, which subsequently remanded them to police custody.
