Ashok Leyland has ventured a 13.5m bus chassis at Prawaas 3.0, organised by the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI).

The 13.5m intercity bus chassis is a new platform designed for high-speed intercity commuters with lots of saloon space. With 36 sleeping berths, it provides 20% more passenger capacity than the 12m intercity chassis (30 sleeper berths), maximising per-trip profitability for customers.

The bus has a 248 HP A4 engine, which results in improved fluid efficiency and faster travel times. A comfortable ride is guaranteed by the available complete air suspension with anti-roll bar arrangement and electromagnetic retarder. Long driving hours on Indian roads are made possible without feeling tired thanks to the 3-way adjustable driver seat, cable shift gear mechanism, and lower TCD.

Sanjeev Kumar, head-MHCV, Ashok Leyland, said, “We continue to expand our range of chassis and coach options.”

The third edition of Prawaas is scheduled for August 5& 6 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad.
