Assam: 3.6 Magnitude of Earthquake hits Jorhat city

New Delhi: According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 hit Jorhat city of Assam on Saturday morning. Tremors were felt in the neighbouring regions, too.

New Delhi: According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS) on Saturday morning, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 hit Jorhat city of Assam. Tremors were felt in the neighbouring regions, too.

The National Center Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake magnitude: 3.6 occurred on 18-03-2023, 09:03:09 IST, Latitude: 26.54 & Long: 94.23, Depth: 50 km, Location: 23 km S from Jorhat, Assam, India.”

According to the information received from the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck 23km south of Jorhat in Assam at around 9:03 am today.However, no casualties or destruction of property has been reported yet.
