The National Center Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake magnitude: 3.6 occurred on 18-03-2023, 09:03:09 IST, Latitude: 26.54 & Long: 94.23, Depth: 50 km, Location: 23 km S from Jorhat, Assam, India.”

According to the information received from the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck 23km south of Jorhat in Assam at around 9:03 am today.However, no casualties or destruction of property has been reported yet.
