Assam: 7 Houses gutted in massive fire after cylinder explosion in Dibrugarh

A massive fire broke out in Dibrugarh, Assam on Saturday, in which six to seven houses were destroyed. Giving information about this, the officials said that this incident probably happened due to the explosion of two cylinders. As soon as the news was received, fire tenders reached the spot and started operations to control the fire.

Dibrugarh, Assam: A massive fire broke out in Dibrugarh, Assam on Saturday, in which six to seven houses were destroyed. Giving information about this, the officials said that this incident probably happened due to the explosion of two cylinders. As soon as the news was received, fire tenders reached the spot and started operations to control the fire.

The firefighting operation is currently underway. Th visuals of the accident site is also surfaces.

Dibrugarh Municipality Vice Chairman Ujjwal Phukan told sources that till now we have not received any information about the number of casualties or anything, the only information we have so far is that 6-7 houses have caught fire. He said that the exact cause of the fire is being investigated.

“We heard that 2 cylinders also exploded,” he added.

Panic spread in the area after the fire. At present there is no news of any casualty due to the fire.

Upon receiving the information, fire tenders were rushed to the scene and started operations to bring the blaze under control.
