“We have started a war against corruption and it will continue,” Sonowal said while interacting with a section of media and added that no one involved in corruption will be allowed to go free.

The Chief Minister’s statement came a day after police arrested some officers of the Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service and allied services for their involvement in the multi-crore cash for jobs scam.

A total of 18 such officers selected by the Assam Public Service Commission have been arrested since Wednesday.

Police said that a search is on for seven more such officials who made it to the APSC selection list by giving huge bribes.
