Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stirred controversy by accusing the Gandhi family of undermining the nation and suggested that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi should renounce the Gandhi title. Sarma described the Gandhi family as "masters of duplicity" and alleged their involvement in numerous scams.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has made strong allegations against the Gandhi family, accusing them of “working to undermine the nation” and calling on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to “renounce the Gandhi title”.
Sarma dubbed the Gandhi family as the “Sardar of duplicates” and claimed that they were involved in “numerous scandals”.
“Their first transgression began with the adoption of the Gandhi name. They have only practiced nepotism and have actively contributed to the nation’s division. I appeal to Rahul Gandhi to give up the Gandhi title”, stated the Assam Chief Minister during his address at the BJP Mahila Morcha’s national executive meeting in Guwahati.
Chief Minister Sarma also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ‘Delhi Declaration’ reached during the G20 leaders’ summit in Delhi, attributing its success to him.
“The Kamakhya corridor will become a reality within the next two years. This achievement is solely due to PM Modi’s leadership, even amid the Ukraine-Russia conflict. While Congress didn’t commemorate the country’s 25th or 50th Independence anniversaries, Modi ji celebrated the 75th year, instilling a sense of Bharatiya identity in all. Prime Minister Modi is tirelessly working to make Bharat a Vishwaguru”, Sarma affirmed.
He highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to women’s empowerment and the fight against social issues like child marriage. The Assam Chief Minister announced plans for a substantial operation against child marriage within the next 10 days.
“Mahila Morcha should lead a nationwide campaign against child marriage and polygamy. We will introduce an anti-polygamy act in December. The nation needs Modi ji once again. We must elect Modi as PM for 10 more years. A Modi-led government will steer Bharat to new heights,” declared Chief Minister Sarma.
He also emphasized the transformation and development progress in the Northeastern region, aiming to create 40 lakh individual entrepreneurs with government support and subsidies.
“Today, the Northeast has undergone remarkable developmental changes. Fourteen years ago, the Northeast was a different place. Out of 25 seats in the Northeast, BJP is projected to secure 22,” he added.
