Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, today we participated in the competition for two world records at Sarusajai in Guwahati. During this, 11,304 Bihu Nasanis and Dholis took part. Before this, Bihu dance like this was not done together anywhere. This is a historic moment. We created a new record.
Our young friends did it. It’s teamwork in a way. It was mind boggling to see such a large number dancing. 2548 Dhulia participated in it. Earlier, the record of 1356 drums was broken today by our youth. Today, 2548 drummers set a world record by playing drums.
The event was organised by the Assam government, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present them with their official Guinness World Records certificates during a similar performance on Friday.
