Lucknow: Voting for the second phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls is underway across 165 seats spanning Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa tomorrow, today on February 14, 2022. The campaigning for polls ended on Sunday evening.
UP votes for 55 seats in second phase
In UP, this is the second phase of polling. The first phase was held on Feb 10. Polling will be held in nine districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur for 55 assembly seats. Voting begins at 7.00 am and will continue till 6.00 pm. There are around 586 candidates are in the poll fray out of which 69 are women candidates.
Uttarakhand votes for 70 seats
With more than 81 lakh voters Uttarakhand will decide the fate of 632 candidates fighting from 70-seat Assembly across 13 districts, commencing from 8 am till 6 pm on Monday. The BJP is seeking a second consecutive term in office.
Incumbent Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will contest from his current constituency, Khatima, while former CM Harish Rawat will contest from Lalkuwa. Also, state cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj, Subodh Uniyal, Arvind Pandey, Dhan Singh Rawat and Rekha Arya are among some important candidates contesting in these polls.
Goa votes for 40 assembly seats
The coastal state of Goa, with over 11 lakh electorates, will decide the fate of 301 candidates contesting from 40 Assembly seats.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will contest from Sanquelim seat. The Congress has fielded Dharmesh Saglani and the TMC named Manoj Gandhi Amonkar against Sawant.

Goa records 75% voter turnout, UP 60%, Uttarakhand 59% till 5 PM
Goa recorded 75.29% voter turnout and Uttarakhand 59.37% till 5 pm, shows Election Commission data. Uttar Pradesh witnessed 60.44% voting in the second phase of Assembly elections.

Goa polls 2022: 75.29% voter turnout till 5 pm
Goa recorded 75.29 per cent voter turnout till 5 pm as the single-phase polling for all the 40 assembly constituencies in the state is underway on Monday.
The polling in the coastal state began at 7 am and will end at 6 pm today. According to Election Commission, Sanquelim from where Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is contesting Goa Assembly polls continues to witness the highest percentage of voters’ turnout of 88.07 per cent followed by Sanguem with 84.61 per cent voter turnout.

According to the EC, Saharanpur recorded a voter turnout of 9.77 per cent till 9 am, Bijnor 10.01 per cent, Rampur 8.37 per cent, Budaun 9.14 per cent, Bareilly 8.36 per cent and Shahjahanpur 9.18 per cent.
Whereas, Amroha witnessed the highest percentage of voter turnout of 10.83 per cent followed by Sambhal (10.76 per cent) and Moradabad (9.86 per cent).

Five state; UP, Punjab, Manipur, Goa, and Uttarakhand will vote in February-March.
The elections in Uttar Pradesh will take place in seven phases, while Manipur will see a two-phase election and Punjab will vote on February 20. The counting of votes for the Assembly polls of the five states will be held on March 10.
