Jerusalem: At least eight people have been injured in a violent shooting incident in Jerusalem, Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance service reports. The attack, which took place at a bus stop during morning rush hour at the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday which killed 2, prompted a swift response from police, resulting in the immediate killing of two suspects.
“Two Palestinian attackers arrived at the scene in a vehicle armed with firearms, these terrorists opened fire towards civilians at the bus station and were subsequently neutralized by security forces and a nearby civilian,” Israeli police said.
After the attack, the officers took immediate action and ‘neutralized’ the two suspected criminals on the spot. The term often means that the suspects were either captured or incapacitated, thus avoiding any further harm. The ambulance service provided immediate medical aid to the victims, treating seven persons at the scene. Five of these victims were later transferred to hospitals for further care.
