San Salvador: In yet another tragic incident, Nine people have died in a stampede during a football match at the El Salvador Stadium in Central America. The news agency AFP quoted the police as saying that there was a stampede at the El Salvador stadium, in which 09 people lost their lives and some people were said to be injured.
Football fans flocked to the Salvador Stadium to watch a local tournament. The National Civil Police reported on Twitter that the death toll after a stampede during a football match at the Cuscatlán stadium has risen to 09.
Police said that many people were also injured. The condition of at least two of them is critical and they are being taken to nearby hospitals. The report stated that the stampede occurred when fans tried to enter the stadium to watch the match between the Alianza and FAS teams.
