New Delhi: After prolonged illness, Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was admitted to the hospital since July with an infection in Kidney, urine output on the lower side and chest congestion, bid goodbye at the age of 93. A statement was released by AIIMS earlier mentioned that his condition was critical and later he was on life support system. The death of the veteran leader has ended an entire era.
Atalji came to Lucknow from Gwalior in 1947 to complete his PHD. He was given the responsibility to lead as an Editor of “Rashtradharm Magazine”. Under his guidance magazine touched new heights and was successful only because he was leading that venture.
A team of doctors from the nephrology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and cardiology departments was looking after the former Prime Minister, sources had said.
The 1924 born leader was under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, a pulmonologist and currently the Director of AIIMS. Dr Guleria has served as personal physician to Atal Bihari Vajpayee for over three decades.
