New Delhi: Automobile companies have released the data of sales in June. According to this data, Kia Motor has got a great growth of 60%. Kia sold 15,015 cars. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki’s total whole sales increased by 5.7% to 1,55,857 units in June. The company saw a growth of 5.7% on a yearly basis.
However, last month for two-wheeler company Bajaj Auto remained the same as June 2021. On the other hand, MG Motor also saw a growth of 27% last month. So let’s know which company sold how many vehicles in June.
Tata Motors sales in June
Tata Motors’ total sales in June grew 78.4% year-on-year to 82,462 units. Whereas the company sold 46,210 units in June 2021. The company’s total domestic sales grew by 82% to 79,606 units in June 2022 as against 43,704 units in June 2021. In June 2022, the company’s total domestic passenger vehicle sales has seen a growth of 87% on a yearly basis and has increased to 45,197 units from 24,110 units in June 2021.
Maruti suzuki sales in June
Maruti’s total whole sale increased by 5.7% to 1,55,857 units in June. According to the company, it had delivered 1,47,368 units to dealers in June 2021. Its domestic sales grew by 1.28% to 1,32,024 units in May from 1,30,348 units in June 2021. Small car sales include the Alto and S-Presso. Sales of these cars stood at 14,442 units last month as against 17,439 units in June last year. Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and DZire have seen good demand in the compact segment.
Their sales increased to 77,746 units as against 68,849 units last month. However, sales of utility cars, such as the Vitara Brezza, S-Cross, and Ertiga, fell to 18,860 units from 28,172 in the same month last year, according to MSI. According to the corporation, exports increased significantly last month, reaching 23,833 units, up from 17,020 automobiles in the same month in 2021.
Volkswagen sales in June
Volkswagen Passenger Cars India reported sales of 21,588 units for the first half of the year, or almost a twofold rise (January-June). According to a statement from Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, the company sold 10,843 units under the VW brand during the same period last year.According to the statement, the growth has been fueled by the recently released Volkswagen Virtus, Tiguan, and Taigun SUVs. The business said that since the Virtus global sedan’s June 9, 2022, introduction in India, it had shipped 2,500 units.
“Amidst the industry challenges that are impacting the supply chain, we are witnessing a high demand for our youngest and freshest product portfolio in the Indian market,” Volkswagen Passenger Cars India Brand Director Ashish Gupta said.

Kia India recorded its highest monthly wholesale at 24,024 units in June, which is a 60% increase over the same time in 2021. In June 2021, the carmaker delivered 15,015 cars to dealers. The company claimed that it sold 1,21,808 units in the domestic market during the first half of 2022, crossing the one lakh sales milestone. In June, 8,388 units of Seltos and 7,895 units of Carrence were sold. At the same time, 7,455 units of Sonet and 285 units of Carnival were sold.
Bajaj auto sales in June
Last month, Bajaj Auto sales remained the same as in June 2021. The company had sold 3,46,136 units in June last year as against 3,47,004 units in the previous month. The company reported that domestic sales fell 15% to 1,38,351 units in June. Which was 1,61,836 units in June 2021. However, exports rose 13% to 2,08,653 units. 1,84,300 in June 2021.
The company sold a total of 3,15,948 units including exports in June 2022, an increase of 2% as compared to 3,10,578 units in the same month last year. However, domestic two-wheeler sales declined 20% to 1,25,083 units from 1,55,640 units in June 2021.
Skoda Auto India sales in June
In June 2022, Skoda Auto India recorded sales of 6,023 vehicles, an increase of more than eight times. In the same month last year, the business sold 734 vehicles, according to a statement from Skoda Auto India. The company reported selling 28,899 units in the first six months of the year, which is more than the 23,858 units it expects to sell annually in 2021.
The company’s India 2.0 models, the Kushaq and Slavia, entered the market against a very difficult background but are still registering solid sales, according to Skoda Auto India Brand Director Zac Hollis. “A global pandemic, intermittent lockdowns, economic upheaval, geopolitical instability, and now a continued semiconductor shortage upsetting the supply chain. So, it is an incredible achievement for all of us. Skoda Auto India to continue breaking and setting new sales records,” he added.
MG Motor Sales in June
MG Motor India reported that its retail sales grew by 27% to 4,503 units. It sold 3,558 units in retail during the same month last year. The company said that there has been some improvement in the sales speed across all the models due to the availability of the chip. In June, the company received bookings for 4,000 units of Hector and 1,000 units of electric SUV ZS EV. According to MG Motor India, there is still a gap in the production and supply chain, but it is expected to improve soon.
