New Delhi: Renowned art director and production designer Sunil Babu breathed his last on Thursday, 5 January. He was 50 years old. He predominantly worked in Malayalam films and also contributed to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. The demise of Sunil Babu has put the entire industry in a quandary. According to the information, Sunil Babu died due to heart attack.
Sunil started his career as an assistant to award-winning production designer Sabu Cyril. Some of Sunil’s famous films include Ananthabhadram, Bangalore Days, Urumi, Premam, Notebook, Kayamkulam Kochunni and Chhota Mumbai. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Art Director for his work in Ananthabhadram.
Reportedly, the 50-year-old art director suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday night.
The stars of the South Film Industry are shocked to hear the news of Sunil Babu’s demise and are unable to accept it. Regarding this, actor Dulquer Salmaan paid tribute to him through social media. He wrote, “Heartbroken! The most virtuous soul who silently went about her work with so much passion and made no noise about her immense talent. Thank you for the golden memories. You breathed life into our films.” Praying for your family and all those who love you dearly.
Sunil and Dulquer worked in hit films like Bangalore Days and Sita Ramam. As soon as the actor posted this news, the fans and industry friends of the director dropped in their comments.
