New Delhi: Punit Chandhok, President of Commercial Business, Amazon Web Services (AWS) India and South Asia, has resigned from his post. His resignation will be effective from 31 August 2023. AWS India has also confirmed this. On the other hand, Vaishali Kasture will take over this responsibility after Puneet’s exit.
Puneet Chandhok joined Amazon’s cloud computing unit in 2019. Chandok’s resignation comes after a major decision by the company. In fact, recently Amazon announced plans to invest $12.87 billion in its cloud business in India by 2030.
Amazon has also released its statement after the announcement of Puneet’s resignation. AWS said that we thank Puneet for his contribution and leadership over the past 4 years and wish him all the best for the future. Vaishali Kasture has taken over as the interim head of India and South Asia for Amazon Web Services, effective immediately. Vaishali was earlier the enterprise head of mid-market and global business.
