New Delhi: Today, A grand Deepotsav will be celebrated in view of Diwali in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. During this, about 18 lakh earthen lamps will be lit. This is the sixth time in Ayodhya that the Deepotsav celebrations are being organized. For the first time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally participate in this program.
New Delhi: Today, A grand Deepotsav will be celebrated in view of Diwali in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. During this, about 18 lakh earthen lamps will be lit. Fireworks, laser show and Ramlila will also be staged during the ceremony. This is the sixth time in Ayodhya that the Deepotsav celebrations are being organized. For the first time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally participate in this program.
Navdeep Rinwa, Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya Division, said that more than 15 lakh diyas will be lit by more than 22,000 volunteers at Ram ki Paidi. The rest of the diyas will be lit at important intersections and places, the official said. A large number of people reached Ram ki Paidi on Saturday evening to see the Deepotsav. The earthen lamps kept there have not been lit yet. To save earthen lamps from damage, volunteers were seen urging the public to tread carefully.
Along with PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath will also be present on this occasion. CM Yogi said on the tweet- “Shri Ayodhya ji is ready for a grand and divine Deepotsav. Welcome all of you. Jai Shri Ram.” In another tweet, the CM wrote- “Shri Ayodhya ji, the Triveni of spirituality, culture and development, will once again be illuminated by the light of lakhs of diyas. Through the Deepotsav in the city of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram, the whole world will experience the supernatural aura of the city of Dharma. All of you are welcome in this divine-grand-new event.”
In another tweet, the CM wrote- “Rangoli of the great Sanatan culture, ‘Deepotsav’ is such a luminous adornment of Indian philosophy, spirituality and national faith, which inspires people to fight against all kinds of darkness. ‘Deepotsav’ is a festival of upliftment of human values. It is a confluence of the spirit of harmony and equality.
Lakhs of people are also expected to reach here during the Deepotsav festival. Strict security arrangements have been made to control the crowd on this occasion. Commandos have been deployed everywhere and drone-cameras are also being monitored.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali on Sunday and perform ‘darshan’ and ‘pujan’ at the Ram temple. According to the statement, he will worship Ramlala Virajman. PM Modi will also review the ongoing development works in the Ramjanmabhoomi pilgrimage area. It said that the Prime Minister will perform a “coronation” of Lord Ram at around 6.45 pm and after that he will also perform aarti at the new ghat built on the banks of the Saryu river and participate in the Deepotsav celebrations.
Five animated tableaux and eleven Ramlila tableaux from different states will also be displayed during the Deepotsav. The Prime Minister will also witness a grand musical laser show as well as a ‘3-D Holographic Projection Mapping Show’ at Ram ki Paidi on the banks of river Saryu.
