Ayodhya Gears Up for Pran Pratishtha Ceremony: ADA Advocates Homestay Experience to Accommodate Rising Tourist Influx

As the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for Ram Mandir approaches, the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is actively promoting the establishment of homestay facilities to cater to the anticipated surge in tourist footfall. The Ayodhya administration, in collaboration with the state tourism department, envisions a significant increase in visitors once the Ram Mandir opens its doors to devotees.

A total of 452 homestay centers in Ayodhya are preparing to host Ram Lalla devotees from various parts of the country who will be attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.

To facilitate this initiative, the ADA has received 452 applications from residents seeking approval to operate homestay services. Following on-site inspections and approvals by the district magistrate of Ayodhya, the development authority has already granted approval to 312 applications. The approved homestays will offer rental rates ranging from ₹1500 to ₹2500 per day.

Verification of the homestay centers approved by the development authority has been conducted by the local intelligence unit (LIU) of the Ayodhya police.

Rajesh Singh, an official of the development authority, stated, “The ADA has received 452 applications for starting a homestay facility. Out of this, 312 applications have been approved.”

Once approved by the ADA, the state tourism department will enforce guidelines to ensure the proper functioning of these facilities. Vishal Singh, vice chairman of ADA, highlighted the homestay experience as an ideal opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in local cuisine and the culture of Awadh while staying with locals. Both the tourism department and the development authority will monitor these centers to ensure their seamless operation.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to be the chief guest, accompanied by RSS chief Mohan Baghwat, at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla, the Ayodhya administration and the state tourism department anticipate a manifold increase in tourist footfall once the Ram Mandir opens its doors to devotees the following day after the ceremony.
