Anwarul Azim, a Bangladeshi MP who had come to India for treatment, has been murdered in Kolkata. It has been told that he had reached West Bengal for treatment on May 11. After this he suddenly disappeared. His last known location was Sanjeeva Gardens in Rajarhat, Kolkata.

Kolkata: Anwarul Azim, a Bangladeshi MP who had come to India for treatment, has been murdered in Kolkata. It has been told that he had reached West Bengal for treatment on May 11. After this he suddenly disappeared. His last known location was Sanjeeva Gardens in Rajarhat, Kolkata.

After receiving the complaint in this matter, the police registered a missing case and started investigation. However, on Wednesday, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaddujaman Khan announced that Azim had been murdered. Bangladesh Police has arrested three people in this case.

He said Awami League MP Ajmi Ansar, who had gone missing in India, was murdered in a flat in Kolkata. So far it has come to light that his killers are Bangladeshis. They hatched a conspiracy and took the life of the MP.

The minister said that Bangladesh Police has arrested three people in the murder case of a 56-year-old MP. When he was questioned about the body, the minister said that he was yet to get information about it. Asaddujaman said that they will soon reveal the reasons behind the murder in this case. Indian police is also gathering information in this matter.

It is noteworthy that Anwarul Azim has been a three-time MP from Awami League Party and is also the president of Kaliganj Upazila unit. It has been told that the crime figures in Jhenaida Parliamentary Constituency, from where he was elected, were very high.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed surprise and condolence over the incident

Azim came to India on May 12 for treatment. On May 18, a report related to his disappearance was lodged at Badnagar Police Station in Kolkata. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed surprise and grief over this incident.
