Bansuri Swaraj, Makes Political Debut from New Delhi in BJP’s Fresh Candidate Lineup

Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of the late BJP stalwart Sushma Swaraj, is set to embark on her political journey by contesting from the prestigious New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. The BJP recently unveiled its initial candidate list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, introducing Bansuri Swaraj as a replacement for Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Chief JP Nadda, and party supporters for the opportunity, Bansuri Swaraj emphasized the party’s commitment to the ambitious goal of ‘ab ki baar 400 paar.’

In a strategic move, the BJP has opted for significant changes in its candidate lineup, omitting Ramesh Bidhuri, the sitting MP from South Delhi, and Meenakshi Lekhi, the MP from New Delhi, from the initial list. This decision reflects the party’s intent to introduce fresh faces and energize its electoral strategy.

The newly revealed candidates for Delhi include Kamaljeet Sehrawat for West Delhi, Praveen Khandelwal for Chandni Chowk, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri for South Delhi. With this move, the BJP aims to infuse dynamism and rejuvenate its representation in the capital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious target of securing at least 370 seats for the BJP independently in the upcoming Lok Sabha election has set the stage for a strategic and meticulously planned candidate selection process. The broader goal is to achieve a collective tally of over 400 seats alongside the NDA alliance.

As anticipation builds for the official release of the election schedule by the Election Commission later this month, the BJP’s proactive approach in presenting a fresh candidate lineup underscores its commitment to a vigorous and competitive electoral campaign scheduled for April-May. Stay tuned for further updates as the political landscape unfolds in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
