New Delhi: Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer had to pay the price of ignoring domestic tournaments by losing the BCCI Central Contract, but many former cricketers were seen disagreeing with this decision of the board. At the same time, now BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has made a big disclosure about Ishan and Iyer being excluded from the central contract.

Actually, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has cited the decision of Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar to exclude Ishan Kishan and Iyer from the central contract. Shah told reporters at the BCCI headquarters on Thursday, ‘You can see the constitution, I am just the convener. Decisions are taken by Ajit Agarkar. When two players (Iyer and Ishan) did not play domestic cricket, he (Ajit Agarkar) took the decision to exclude them from the central contract.

The BCCI secretary further said, ‘My job is only to implement the decisions. We have given place to new players. No one can escape. Earlier in February, on the questions raised regarding the contract, Shah had said that if the Chief Selector takes any decision regarding the players, he will support him.
