Luckily, a plane crash incident was averted at the Delhi airport on Monday. A spice jet aircraft that was on a Jammu-bound passenger flight collided with an electric pole before takeoff at the Delhi airport. No damage was done and all the passengers were fine.
Later, passengers were shifted to a different aircraft. An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the matter to its bottom.
As per the sources, the collision took place when the Boeing 737-800 aircraft was moving from the passenger terminal to the runway this morning.
None of the passengers were injured, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has begun an investigation into the matter.
Today, SpiceJet flight SG160 was scheduled to operate between Delhi and Jammu. During the push back, the right-wing trailing edge came into close contact with a pole, causing damage to the aileron. A replacement aircraft has been arranged to operate the flight, a SpiceJet spokesperson said.
In a statement, a SpiceJet spokesperson said, “On March 28, 2022, SpiceJet flight SG 160 was scheduled to operate between Delhi and Jammu.”
Fortunately, no untoward incident took place, and all the passengers came out of the aircraft safely. They boarded a different plane to reach their destination.
