Bengal teacher scam: ED summons Tollywood actor Bonny Sengupta in connection with multi-crore scam

West Bengal: Serious allegations have been leveled against 952 class IX-X teachers appointed by SSC in teacher recruitment corruption case. It is alleged that teachers took jobs by tampering with OMR sheets or answer sheets.

Kolkata: Actor Bonny Sengupta’s is in the grip of ED in the famous teacher recruitment scam case of West Bengal. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent summons to him. ED officials are interrogating Boney Sen Gupta. At the same time, in this case, ED has arrested the youth leader of Hooghly Trinamool Congress, Kuntal Ghosh.

Before the West Bengal assembly elections, many film stars had joined the Bengal BJP. Actor Bonny Sengupta was also among them. But, in view of the infighting within the BJP, he left the party. Bonny Sengupta had said that BJP failed to fulfill its promises and hence decided to leave the party.

Serious allegations have been leveled against 952 teachers of class IX-X appointed by SSC in teacher recruitment corruption case. The teachers are accused of taking jobs by tampering with OMR sheets or answer sheets. The matter was first heard in a single bench of Justice Gangopadhyay. Later the matter was transferred to a single bench of Justice Basu.

At the same time, Justice Basu’s bench later ordered in this case that out of those 952 people, 805 job recommendation letters should be cancelled. Because after checking the OMR sheet, it was found that it had been tampered with. Then the teachers approached the Calcutta High Court. The court had stayed the decision after hearing his statement.

At the same time, a video named Sat Ranjan was uploaded on YouTube by an officer in this matter. It was alleged in the video that in Bagda of North 24 Parganas, many people were given jobs in the school by taking money. However, keeping in mind the privacy, Upen did not tell the real name of Ranjan at that time. However, later he accepted this in the hearing of teacher recruitment corruption case. At the same time, Chandan Mandal, the third middleman arrested in this case, has made many revelations.
