Bengaluru: A heart-wrenching incident were happened in Bengaluru: On Sunday, An official said that a woman and her nine-month-old daughter are lost their lives after accidentally coming into contact with an unattended live wire on the pavement footpath near Hope Farm in Kadugodi police in Bengaluru. The women was 23-year-old.

The deceased have been identified as Soundarya and Suviksha. By the time people rushed to their help, they were charred to death. Around 6 am, the incident unfolded as Soundarya and her nine-month-old daughter, Suviksha, were walking home after their arrival from Tamil Nadu.

Sources indicate that their luggage, trolley bag, and personal belongings were lying scattered at the scene. The Kadugodi police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Vydehi hospital for post mortem.

A case of negligence was registered against the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) officials. The duo was walking home when the incident occurred. A trolley bag and other belongings lay scattered around the scene of the accident.

The death raised the issue of safety of pedestrians once again as citizens have come down heavily on the negligence on part of Bescom. In a post on social media X, Member of Parliament from Bengaluru Central P C Mohan said,”The electrocution at Hope farm Junction, where a young woman lost her life, is heartbreaking and highlights the urgency for BESCOM to adopt preventive measures. A heightened sense of responsibility from BESCOM is crucial in averting such incidents and ensuring a safer environment.”
