Rain has made things difficult in many cities of Karnataka. All schools and colleges in Bengaluru have been closed today due to heavy rains and waterlogging. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of continuous rain in the state for the next four days.

Heavy rains and floods continue to wreak havoc in many states of the country. From Bihar to Uttarakhand and from Karnataka to Andhra Pradesh, there is an outcry. From north to south, the flood is posing a problem in front of the people. Due to heavy rains, the problems of the people have increased a lot. In Karnataka too, the highway was flooded as heavy rains continued. Due to heavy downpour all schools and colleges remain closed today.
The India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and predicted heavy rains in many places on August 30. The most affected areas due to water-logging are Bellandur, Sarjapura Road, Whitefield, Outer Ring Road, and BEML Layout. Traffic was also majorly impacted on the Outer Ring Road, which also connects the city to the tech parks located on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The Bellandur Outer Ring Road near Eco Space witnessed flooding as rainwater overflowed from stormwater drains onto the street.

Let us inform that due to heavy rains in Bangalore, there is waterlogging at many places. On Monday, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai visited flood-affected areas in Ramanagara district. The damage caused to the crop due to the breach of Bakshi lake in Maruti Layout was also examined. After this he went on the railway track. The chief minister had also visited the homes of the farmers and promised them compensation. Announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh each with immediate effect to the houses which have completely collapsed in the water. Along with this, they will be given assistance of Rs 5 lakh in a phased manner. The Chief Minister has assured the people that their problems will be heard and they will be helped.
The Chief Minister has directed the officials to immediately start the repair work of Bakshi Lake. Rajasthan Minister R Ashok and Higher Education and District In-charge Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan were also present with the Chief Minister during this period. Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy was also present on the occasion.
