Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress MP RaGa resumes ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Tiptur in Tumkur district

Tumkur: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi resumed the Bharat Jodi Yatra from Tiptur in Tumkur district of Karnataka on Sunday morning. Today is the 32nd day of Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress, which started from Tamil Nadu, is now on a tour of Karnataka.

Tumkur: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi resumed the Bharat Jodi Yatra from Tiptur in Tumkur district of Karnataka on Sunday morning. Today is the 32nd day of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress, which started from Tamil Nadu, is now on a tour of Karnataka. Under the leadership of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the Bharat Jodo Yatra was started from Mayasandra in Tumkur today. During this, Congress workers welcomed Rahul Gandhi.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra being taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi on Thursday. During this, Sonia Gandhi also walked on foot with her son Rahul Gandhi. A picture of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi also dominated social media. In which Rahul Gandhi is seen tying the lace of his mother’s shoe. This picture was highly appreciated on social media. It is worth noting, that Sonia Gandhi was not able to participate in the previous campaigns of the party because of her health issues. This was her first such public event at the party after a long gap.

On Saturday, The Bharat Jodi Yatra of the Congress completed a month. Jairam Ramesh, Senior party leader said that this padyatra is nothing short of transformational politics.

He tweeted, “1MonthOfBharatJodoYatra has been nothing short of transformational politics.Public response in TN & Kerala was on expected lines,while in Karnataka it has exceeded wildest expectations. It’s been exhausting but supremely satisfying. A refreshed, revitalised Congress is emerging!” .

He has also shared the complete one month journey of Bharat Jodo Yatra by posting short clips of the padayatra’s each day beginning from September 7 on its official Twitter handle.

On September 8, The 3,570 km long ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’ started from Kanyakumari. The nationwide march is covering a distance of about 25 km every day. Going forward under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party convoy aims to cover 12 states in five months.

The party has claimed to counter the divisive politics of the BJP-led Centre, through its ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’. The party claims that the yatra is an attempt to awaken the people of the country to the dangers of economic inequalities, social polarization and political centralisation.
