Bharat Jodo Yatra resumes after two-day break; Sonia Gandhi joins in walk with Rahul in Karnataka’s Pandavapura Taluk

Bharat Jodo Yatra has once again resumed after a two-day break, the interim president of Congress, Sonia Gandhi, joined in the yatra along with his son Rahul Gandhi and thousands of party supporters on Thursday, October 6.

Bengaluru: Bharat Jodo Yatra has once again resumed after a two-day break. The interim president of Congress, Sonia Gandhi, joined in the yatra along with his son Rahul Gandhi and thousands of party supporters on Thursday, October 6. She arrived at Jakannahalli and joined the foot march that got underway from Pandavapura Taluk at 6.30 am.

After the end of the morning leg’s walk, a meeting of the party is set to be held in the Brahmadevarahalli village. The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on September 7 from Kanyakumari, and the caravan reached Karnataka last Friday. Rahul Gandhi put his leg in the BJP-ruled state through Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district, bordering Kerala.

Sharing details, the Congress took to twitter and wrote, “A journey of hopes, love, and victory—that’s the spirit of BharatJodoYatra, which will resume from Pandavapura Taluk and end at Nagamangala Taluk today.”

The yatra will hover through Karnataka for 21 days. During this period, the caravan has to cover 511 km in Karnataka. The yatra will touch several places such as Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Mandya, Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Ballari, and Raichur districts.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Congress are amused as well. They went to the Kabini Forest Reserve at Kadegadde and took a backwater forest safari on Wednesday. Local MLA Anil Chikkamadu was accompanying them. Sonia Gandhi planted a sapling at a plantation near the Kabini backwater on Thursday morning before the commencement of the yatra.

No one can stop us!

The Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi shared a video with a caption, “No one can stop us from uniting India.” No one can stop us from raising the voice of India.” “No one can stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra from going from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.”

The Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress is set to cover 3,570 km in 150 days. It commenced from Kanyakumari, in Tamil Nadu, on September 7 and will end in Jammu and Kashmir.
