Bihar: On Sunday, an official said that Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey alias Annapurna was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her apartment in Bihar. She reportedly hung herself by her saree to the ceiling fan of her residence.
Police said that this incident happened in the Bhagalpur Jogsar police station area of Biha. While no suicide note was found from her apartment, initial investigation has revealed that she had shared a cryptic note on social media hours before her death.
After getting information about this incident police reached on the spot, took possession of the dead body, and started an investigation. According to the reports, Amrita originally resided in Mumbai with her husband, but she visited her relatives for a wedding in Bhagalpur recently, and decided to stay back for a few days.
Her WhatsApp status written shortly before her death also says a lot. In her status she said, ‘Her life is on two boats, we made her path easier by sinking our boat,’ read her status. On social media, his WhatsApp status is now going viral .
Apart from Bhojpuri films, Amrita Pandey has worked in Hindi films, web series, and TV shows. Close relatives and acquaintances of Amrita stated that the actress was battling depression and other mental health issues for quite some time and she was even seeking treatment for the same.
She was upset because she was not getting work. She was married to Chandramani Jhangad, a resident of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, who lives in Mumbai in the year 2022. He is an animation engineer. While a detailed investigation has been launched, cops suspect depression to be the cause of her suicide.
After getting information about this, City SP Shri Raj said that a high profile investigation has been ordered into Amrita’s death and a special team has also been formed on the instructions of SP Anand Kumar. On the work front, Amrita had shared the screen with Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav in the film Deewanapan
