Bhojpuri Director Found Dead: The body of Bhojpuri film director Subhash Chandra Tiwari was found in a hotel in Sonbhadra. He was 61 years old and was shooting for his upcoming film Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se.
Sonbhadra, UP: Producer-director of Bhojpuri films Subhash Chandra Tiwari was found dead on Wednesday under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Sonbhadra city. Inspector-in-charge of Robertsganj Kotwali Manoj Kumar Singh told here that Bhojpuri filmmaker Subhash Chandra Tiwari (61) was found dead in his hotel room in the city on Wednesday morning.
Police told that Subhash Chandra was a resident of Varanasi. He stayed in this hotel since May 11 last with his 40-member team in connection with the shooting of his film ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’. Singh told that the shooting of the film was over on Tuesday itself. He said that earlier he had chest pain, on which he was admitted to a local hospital.
Manoj Kumar Singh said that he had returned to the hotel after completing the shooting on Tuesday evening, but when the door of his room did not open till around 10 am on Wednesday, the staff stationed there informed the hotel owner. The hotel operator informed the Robertsganj police station about the matter. Singh told that when the police opened the door by cutting the part near the latch of the door, they saw Tiwari’s body lying on the bed.
The in-charge inspector said that the matter is being investigated and the cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem.
