Big accident near Banke Bihari temple in Mathura, 5 people died due to falling balcony of the building

The balcony of a three-storey building at Banke Bihari temple in Mathura collapsed due to heavy rains this evening, due to which 11 people got buried under the debris. CCTV footage of the balcony falling has also come to the fore. Five people have died in the accident. The police-administration team is present on the spot.

Mathura Balcony Collapse: A big accident took place on Tuesday evening near Banke Bihari temple in Mathura. Due to heavy rains, the upper part of a three-storey building collapsed, due to which 11 people were buried under the debris. Five of them died, while six people were seriously injured. All are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Police and administration officials are present on the spot. People are being removed from the accident site. JCB machine has been installed to remove the debris.

The incident took place due to dilapidated balcony of the house of the people of Vishnu Bagh. This incident happened near Banke Bihari and Sneh Bihari temples of Vrindavan. As soon as this accident happened, there was a hue and cry on the spot and people started running here and there in panic.

After a lot of effort, the people nearby pulled people out from under the debris and got the injured admitted. Many devotees have been affected in this accident. These people were going to visit the temple and were returning after doing some darshan. Police force is deployed on the spot.

District Magistrate Pulkit Khare’s statement came to the fore

DM Pulkit Khare said that five people died due to the collapse of the balcony and wall of the old building. At the same time, four people have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Relief and rescue work is going on. He told that those who died and those who are injured will be looked into for compensation as per rules. Along with this, he said that the cause of the accident will be known only after investigation, but it has been raining for the last several days.

The identity of those who died in the accident

Please inform that the police-administration has also confirmed the death toll. The deceased include Geeta Kashyap resident of Kanpur, Arvind Kumar resident of Kanpur Nagar, Rashmi Gupta resident of Kanpur, Anju Mugyi resident of Vrindavan and one unknown. At the same time, some vehicles standing below were also damaged due to the collapse of the house.

Chief Minister expressed grief

Expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured. Expressing condolences to the deceased, he has wished God to give strength to their families in this hour of grief.
