Mukesh Ambani said that Jio 5G services will be launched in Diwali this year. Initially, the company will launch Jio 5G service in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. The company is aiming to launch Jio 5G internet service across the country by December 2023.
Mukesh Ambani said that Jio 5G will be the world’s largest and most advanced 5G network. Unlike other operators, Jio’s 5G network will be stand-alone with zero dependence on 4G networks. With stand-alone 5G, Jio can provide new and powerful services like low latency, large scale machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing and network slicing and metaverse.
Jio has committed a total investment of Rs 2 lakh crore to bring 5G network across the country. Jio has indigenously developed an end-to-end 5G stack. With 5G Jio will launch billions of smart sensors with connected intelligence that will trigger the Internet of Things and fuel the fourth industrial revolution. It will connect everyone, everywhere and everything with the highest quality and most affordable data.
