Lucknow: Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra has suffered a major setback in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Actually, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail plea of ​​Ashish Mishra. That is, Ashish Mishra will still have to stay in jail. It was believed that he could be given bail with some conditions, but it did not happen.

Rejecting the bail petition, the High Court made a strong observation that 4 farmers died in the Lakhimpur case. The car of the accused was present there, this is the biggest fact. This case comes under the category of heinous crime. Senior advocate Gopal Chaturvedi on behalf of Ashish Mishra, Kamaljit Rakhda on behalf of the victims, AAG Vinod Shahi on behalf of the state government were present.

Earlier, the matter was heard on July 15 when the court had reserved its verdict. But on Tuesday, the High Court rejected Ashish Mishra’s bail plea and sent him to jail again. Ashish Mishra will have to remain in jail for the time being. Ashish Mishra’s lawyers tried their best to get him bail but the court could not make his arguments work. Earlier it was expected that he could be granted bail with certain conditions, so this court’s decision is like a big setback for him.

On 3 October 2021, 8 people were killed in violence in Tikunia, Lakhimpur. It is alleged that Ashish Mishra alias Monu, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, crushed the farmers with his jeep. In this case, the Uttar Pradesh SIT had filed a 5000-page charge sheet. The SIT had named Ashish Mishra as the main accused. Not only this, according to the SIT, Ashish was present at the spot. In this case, the Allahabad High Court had granted bail to Ashish Mishra in February.
