New Delhi: Big setback for Maha govt, this time Central probe agencies are in form from Delhi to Mumbai all ministers needs to be on alert. So in this development another Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab booked by Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning on Wednesday in the Dapoli resort case. Anil Parab is accused of money laundering.
Central probe agency had recently registered a case against transport minister Anil Parab and raided many of his places. The matter is related to his Dapoli resort in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. Anil Parab’s appearance in front of the ED is considered a major setback for the Shiv Sena government as now two ministers are in jail after the complaint of the ED.
One of them Nawab Malik is still a minister while Anil Deshmukh is a former home minister. According to media reports, the ED has registered a case against Anil Parab for making illegal money by violating the rules of the Coastal Rules Zone.
According to sources, Anil Parab had bought a plot in 2017. After the registry of the plot, the minister sold a Mumbai-based cable operator Sadanand Kadam for Rs 1.10 crore in 2020. It is alleged that many types of fraud were committed in this. During this, a resort was built on this plot. Rs 6 crore cash was spent in its construction. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya was demanding an inquiry in this matter. He has said that Anil Parab should be ready to go to jail.
Earlier on May 26, the ED had raided seven locations of Anil Parab. Anil Parab is considered a strong leader of Shiv Sena. He is considered close to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Former API of Mumbai Police Sachin Waje had also accused him of extorting Rs 50 crore.
